UAE Suspends Iran Transactions After Missile Threat Alert

The United Arab Emirates said two missiles had been launched toward the country.

Iran said it did not launch them.

Because of rising tensions, the UAE stopped trade and financial dealings with Iran for now.

People across the UAE received an emergency warning on Tuesday evening.

The warning came shortly after 6:30 p.m.

The alert was canceled about 10 minutes later.

Officials said the situation was safe.

The two countries therefore gave different accounts of what happened.
