FTII Itanagar Students Continue Semester 2 Boycott
Students at the Film and Television Institute of India in Itanagar are not going to their Semester 2 classes.
They say the school and the government have not fixed the problems with the building and the things they need for learning.
They have been asking for these changes for a long time, but nothing has happened.
They even stopped classes before in March and May, but the promises to fix things were not kept.
Now, they are very upset because the school is not ready, and new students cannot even join.
They had a meeting with the school leaders, but their main problems were not solved.
The students say they will not go back to class until things get better.
FTII Itanagar students are boycotting Semester 2 classes due to unresolved infrastructure and academic facility issues.
Students allege that repeated assurances from authorities have not been fulfilled.
A meeting on December 9 with school authorities did not address their core demands.
Students criticize temporary arrangements and lack of a preview theatre for Semester 2.
RTI replies confirm the campus is incomplete and unfit for new admissions in 2025.
