Suryapet voter list digitisation nears completion
In Suryapet, the district collector has announced that almost all voter records are being turned into digital format.
This means that instead of paper lists, the voter information is being put into computers.
This helps to make sure there are no mistakes or duplicate entries.
Special officers are going door-to-door to check the information.
The collector is asking all eligible citizens to register to vote, as this digital process will make voting fairer and more transparent.
92.69% of voter data in Suryapet has been digitised.
Out of 10,08,252 voters, 9,34,581 records have been digitised.
1,205 Booth Level Officers are conducting door-to-door verification.
Digitisation aims to eliminate errors and duplicate entries.
Eligible citizens aged 18 and above are urged to register as voters.
