Khavda IV-C Transmission Corridor Supports India’s Green Transition

Khavda IV-C Transmission Corridor Supports India’s Green Transition

India is building more renewable-energy projects, such as solar and wind facilities.

Much of this energy is produced far from the cities and industries that use it.

Transmission lines work like large electricity highways that carry power over long distances.

The Khavda IV-C project is designed to move renewable electricity from Gujarat to Maharashtra.

Its Maharashtra section will cover about 306 circuit kilometres and pass through 150 villages.

The project is expected to improve power reliability in several parts of Maharashtra.

It will also connect with existing transmission lines serving Nashik and other areas.

Supporters say the project could help businesses, create jobs and encourage cleaner economic growth.
