Eight Wagons Derail in Bihar
A goods train had an accident where eight of its wagons came off the tracks.
This happened between two stations in the Jamui district of Bihar.
The accident happened late at night on December 27.
Because of this, many train services between Howrah, Patna, and Delhi were affected.
Teams were quickly sent to help fix the problem and get things back to normal.
The exact spot where the accident happened is at kilometre 344/05.
The teams are working very hard to fix the tracks and wagons.
No one was hurt in the accident, but several trains were cancelled or diverted.
Eight wagons of a goods train derailed between Lahabon and Simultala railway stations in Bihar's Jamui district.
The incident occurred at around 23:25 hrs on December 27, disrupting railway services on the Howrah-Patna-Delhi route.
No casualties have been reported, but around two dozen trains were affected overnight, causing inconvenience to passengers.
Accident Relief Trains (ARTs) were dispatched from Asansol, Madhupur, and Jhajha to the site, and restoration work is underway on a war footing.
Several express and passenger trains were cancelled or rescheduled and diverted via alternative routes due to the blockage of tracks.
