Tribals Must Unite to Protect Jal, Jungle, Jamin and Constitution
People from tribal communities across India gathered in the city of Nashik to celebrate World Tribal Day.
World Tribal Day is a special day when tribal communities celebrate their culture and their rights.
A big parade was held, with people dancing to drums and traditional music while wearing traditional clothes.
At the event, a leader named Harshvardhan Sapkal gave a speech.
He said tribal people have the right to their own land, water, and forests.
He asked tribal people to come together to protect those rights and the Constitution, which is the set of rules that keeps the country fair and safe.
The leaders also announced plans to march all the way from Nashik to Delhi to ask the government to protect tribal rights.
Some leaders warned that people who lie about being tribal in order to take reserved seats should give those seats back.
The celebration ended with cultural programs and awards for people who have done great things.
Maharashtra Pradesh Congress President Harshvardhan Sapkal said tribals hold exclusive rights over their homeland, water, forests, and land and urged them to unite to save the Constitution.
World Tribal Day was celebrated in Nashik with a grand procession led by Lucky Jadhav, National Youth President of the All India Tribal Development Council.
A march from Nashik to Delhi will be organised to secure tribal rights over water, forests, land, and the Constitution.
Thousands of tribal participants from districts including Nashik, Ahilyanagar, Dhule, Jalgaon, Nandurbar, Palghar, Thane, and Mumbai, and from Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan joined the procession.
Jadhav warned that 'bogus' tribals who usurp reserved seats will be taught a lesson and forced to vacate them, and cautioned the Central Government not to 'play games with the tribals.'
