TGSPDCL Plans 6,500 Pole-Mounted Transformers for 2026
The Telangana Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (TGSPDCL) wants to put 6,500 small transformers on power poles in 2026.
These transformers don't take up any ground space, unlike the big ones that need a lot of room.
This will help keep the area clean and safe because people often throw trash near the old transformers.
The company has already put up 150 of these new transformers this year.
They also replaced old, dangerous power lines with safer ones in narrow streets.
By the end of this year, they plan to finish building 97 new power stations.
All these changes will help make sure people get reliable electricity.
TGSPDCL plans to install 6,500 pole-mounted transformers in 2026.
These transformers require no ground space, improving public safety and cleanliness.
150 pole-mounted transformers have already been installed in 2025.
TGSPDCL replaced 800 km of hazardous overhead lines with insulated AB cables under the ‘Karantolla Praja Bata’ programme.
The company added 7,531 new distribution transformers and 291 power transformers, and plans to complete 97 new 33/11 kV substations by the end of the current financial year.
