Prosecution Backs Conditional Approver Status in Renukaswamy Murder Case

Prosecution Backs Conditional Approver Status in Renukaswamy Murder Case

In a big criminal case, more than one person can be accused of doing something wrong.

Sometimes, one of those accused people is allowed to become an "approver."

An approver is someone who promises to tell the court everything they know about the crime.

If they tell the complete and honest truth, the court may pardon them, which means they will not be punished.

In this case, a man named Pradosh, who is the 14th accused, wants to become an approver.

The government's lawyer, called the prosecutor, said he does not mind, but only if Pradosh tells the whole truth about everyone involved.

Another accused person, named Vinay, also wants to become an approver.

A senior lawyer argued that accused people should not be able to ask for this on their own.

A judge will decide what happens next on August 10.
