TGBIE Sets October 31 Deadline for 2027 Attendance Exemption Applications
The Telangana education board has set rules for private students who want to take the March 2027 intermediate exams without meeting the usual attendance requirement.
They must apply online by October 31, 2026.
The application costs ₹500, and late applications cost more.
The board will not refund the fee if someone is found ineligible.
The option is available to certain Arts and Humanities students and students seeking subject or group changes or additional subjects.
Students who passed their qualifying exam outside Telangana also need an eligibility certificate.
A one-year gap allows students to take only first-year exams, while a gap of two years or more allows both years.
First-year internal assessments apply from 2026–27, and candidates cannot enter the second year of ACE directly through this exemption.
Private candidates seeking attendance exemption for the March 2027 Intermediate Public Examinations must apply online by October 31, 2026.
The application fee is ₹500; late applications are accepted until November 15 with a ₹200 late fee and until November 30 with a ₹500 late fee.
Eligible applicants include specified Arts and Humanities candidates, some students changing subjects or groups, and candidates applying to take additional subjects.
Candidates with a one-year gap after SSC may sit only first-year exams, while those with a gap of two years or more may sit both years in the same session.
Applicants must submit supporting certificates; first-year internal assessments apply from 2026–27, and direct second-year entry into ACE through attendance exemption is not permitted.
