Firefox Adds Perplexity AI Search Option, Challenging Google
Firefox has added a new way to search the internet using an AI called Perplexity.
This means you can now ask Firefox to use Perplexity when you type your search into the address bar, just like using Google.
This is because some AI search tools, like Perplexity, are becoming more popular, and Google is losing some of its users.
Now, when you update Firefox, you can easily switch to Perplexity for your searches and see what the AI has to offer.
Mozilla added Perplexity AI as a search option in Firefox.
Users can now switch to Perplexity AI for searches from the Firefox address bar.
The update includes this feature in Firefox version 139.
Google's search market share is declining, with AI search engines gaining ground.
Perplexity AI reportedly accounts for around 1% of search queries.
