Sensex, Nifty Rise on IT Rally and FII Inflows
The two main Indian stock market indexes, Sensex and Nifty, went up early on Thursday.
They climbed because many IT companies like Infosys and Tata Consultancy Services had good earnings.
Foreign investors also bought a lot of shares, adding money to the market.
Oil prices fell, which helped stocks rise.
In the United States, the Fed said it would keep interest rates the same, but some officials wanted a hike, which made bond prices drop.
This made the US stock market fall a bit, but the Indian market still grew.
Sensex advanced 75.71 points to 77,726.62; Nifty up 26.90 points to 24,275.85.
IT stocks such as Infosys, Tech Mahindra, HCL Tech, Tata Consultancy Services, Mahindra & Mahindra and Sun Pharma led the gains.
Foreign institutional investors bought Rs 2,981.87 crore of shares.
Brent crude fell 1.26% to $89.60 per barrel, supporting the rally.
US markets closed lower after the Fed kept rates unchanged but a hawkish tone pushed Treasury yields near 20‑year highs.
