Rajasthan High Court Bans Junk Food Near Schools

The Rajasthan High Court has stopped schools and nearby sellers from selling certain junk foods.

The rule includes drinks with carbonation, chips and similar products.

It applies inside school canteens and within 50 metres of schools.

Schools must show children and families what is in the food.

This includes calories, ingredients and nutritional value.

The court gave officials eight weeks to make sure this information is provided.

It also talked about paper leaks, too much screen time and poor facilities in some rural schools.

The court sent notices to government departments about protecting children’s rights.
