Gujarat: 178 Bridges Closed in Six Months, Assembly Told
Imagine many roads in Gujarat have bridges.
Recently, a lot of these bridges were found to be unsafe and closed to cars and trucks.
In the past six months, 178 bridges were closed for vehicles.
Some bridges were closed completely, and some were only closed for big trucks.
These closures happened because the government checked the bridges and found some were damaged.
There were also bridges over the Narmada Canal that were in bad shape.
The government is working on fixing the bridges, including some that have been closed for a while.
