Five Stocks to Exit F&O Segment Starting Friday
Starting August 1st, five companies will no longer be part of a special type of trading called 'futures and options.'
This means people can't trade these stocks in the same way they used to.
The companies are Aarti Industries, Birlasoft, Hindustan Copper, Mahanagar Gas, and Piramal Enterprises.
This change is because these stocks didn't meet certain rules about how often they're traded and their value in the regular stock market.
After being removed, these stocks can only be traded in the regular 'cash' market.
The stocks won't be able to rejoin the special trading for at least a year.
Five stocks will be removed from the futures and options (F&O) segment starting Friday, August 1.
The stocks affected are Aarti Industries Ltd., Birlasoft Ltd., Hindustan Copper Ltd., Mahanagar Gas Ltd., and Piramal Enterprises Ltd.
These stocks will be available for trading only in the cash market after the change.
Exclusion from F&O occurs if a stock doesn't meet eligibility criteria based on cash market performance.
Affected stocks are not eligible for re-inclusion in the F&O segment for one year.
