Delhi Court Gives Nearly 700 Families Six Weeks to Relocate

Nearly 700 families live in three slum camps near the Prime Minister’s residence.

A court has told them to leave the camps.

The families have been offered homes or rehabilitation in Savda Ghevra.

The Delhi High Court gave them six weeks to move.

The decision came after the families appealed.

The court also created a seven-member committee to watch the relocation.

This committee will check whether the promised facilities are provided.

It can instruct government agencies if problems arise.

The committee will work for six months.
