Assam CM Reveals Gogoi's Pakistan Links

The Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, has revealed that a Special Investigation Team (SIT) report shows that Congress leader Gaurav Gogoi, his mother Elizabeth Gogoi, and a Pakistani national named Ali Tauqeer Sheikh have direct links to Pakistan.

The report will be made public on February 8 at 10:30 am in Guwahati.

The state cabinet will discuss the matter formally on February 7.

Gaurav Gogoi has denied these allegations, saying they are politically motivated.

The Chief Minister also criticized Gogoi for not attending Republic Day celebrations, alleging that Gogoi holds foreign citizenship and sympathizes with Pakistan.

The Chief Minister asserted that Assam is a polarized society and that the political divide is between Assamese people and illegal immigrants.
