Vijay Opens Mettur Dam Gates, Gifts Sunglasses to Elderly Woman
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Joseph Vijay visited the Mettur area on Tuesday.
He opened gates at the Mettur Dam to release water.
The water will help farmers grow Samba crops in the Cauvery delta.
It will also support local drinking water needs.
Vijay then visited a farmer named P. Ramasamy.
He spoke with the farmer’s family about crops and water needs.
Many villagers gathered to greet him.
During the visit, Vijay gave his sunglasses to an elderly woman.
The glasses were reported to be Dior sunglasses worth Rs 40,000.
