Hyderabad Police Launch QR Wristbands for Children's Safety at Medaram Jatara
The Hyderabad Police have started a new program to keep children safe during a big religious event called Medaram Jatara.
They have set up a special stall at a bus station where parents can get wristbands for their kids.
Each wristband has a special code that holds important information like the child's name, their parents' contact details, and their home address.
If a child gets lost in the crowd, anyone can scan the code to quickly find the parents and reunite them.
The police are working with a phone company called Vodafone Idea to make this happen.
They want all parents traveling to the event to get these wristbands to make sure their kids stay safe.
Hyderabad City Police launched QR code-enabled wristbands for children's safety during Medaram Jatara.
A dedicated stall was inaugurated at Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station (MGBS) in Afzalgunj by Golconda Zone DCP G. Chandra Mohan and MGBS Regional Manager J. Srilatha.
Each wristband features a unique QR code with child and guardian details, including the child’s name, parent or guardian’s name, contact mobile number, and residential address.
The initiative is a collaboration between Hyderabad City Police and Vodafone Idea (VI).
The wristbands aim to quickly reunite lost children with their families during the event.
