President Murmu Greets 9 States and UTs on Formation Day
President Murmu wished people in several Indian states and a Union Territory a happy 'Formation Day'.
This is a special day for them because it's when their state or territory was created.
Some of these places became states a very long time ago, like in 1956.
Others were formed more recently, such as Chhattisgarh in 2000.
The President said these regions have all helped India grow and wished everyone continued success and happiness.
President Droupadi Murmu extended greetings on the formation days of Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Karnataka, Kerala, Lakshadweep, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, and Puducherry.
She wished these states and Union Territories continued success and prosperity for their residents.
Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, and Lakshadweep were established on November 1, 1956.
Punjab and Haryana were formed on November 1, 1966.
Chhattisgarh was created as a new state on November 1, 2000.
