ITBP DG Praveen Kumar Takes Additional BSF Charge

Praveen Kumar, who is the head of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), has been given the extra job of leading the Border Security Force (BSF) after Daljit Singh Chawdhary retired.

The handover happened in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, instead of the usual place in Delhi, because both were attending a police conference.

Chawdhary, who was the BSF head, did important things like setting up a drone squadron and helping soldiers get promoted.

Kumar has also done important work, like creating all-woman posts along the India-China border.

The BSF is a big group that protects India's borders and helps with security inside the country.
