CJI Inaugurates Skill Development in Haryana Jails
The Chief Justice of India, Surya Kant, started new programs in Haryana's jails to help prisoners learn skills and get education.
These programs include courses in computers and other vocational training.
The goal is to help prisoners rejoin society better when they are released.
The CJI also started a campaign to raise awareness about the dangers of drugs in Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh.
He said it's important to give prisoners support and guidance so they don't return to crime.
He suggested setting up special boards to help prisoners find jobs and get the support they need.
The CJI also talked about the importance of mental health support for prisoners.
CJI Surya Kant inaugurated skill development centres and polytechnic diploma courses in Haryana jails.
The initiatives aim to reshape the correctional ecosystem through structured education and skill development.
