Punjab Opposes Seed Bill, Raises Issues with Amit Shah
Punjab's Chief Minister, Bhagwant Mann, met with the central government's Home Minister, Amit Shah, to talk about a new Seed Bill.
Mann said the bill is not good for small farmers and traditional seed systems.
He also said that private companies should not be able to tell farmers what seeds to buy.
The central government wants to make sure that only good quality seeds are sold, with strict rules and punishments for selling bad seeds.
Mann also talked about other issues like the border with Pakistan, water sharing, and moving food grains from warehouses.
Shah said he would look into these issues.
