Karnataka Govt Plans Tech Park in Mangaluru, Invites Tenders
Karnataka's government wants to build a new place for technology companies in the city of Mangaluru.
They have put out a request for companies to help design, build, and run this new park.
This park will be on a piece of land owned by the government.
The goal is to bring more technology jobs and businesses to Mangaluru, making the city grow and providing more job opportunities for people.
The government sees Mangaluru as a place that can grow its technology sector, similar to how Bengaluru has grown.
They believe this will help the whole region prosper.
Karnataka government, through KEONICS, has invited tenders for establishing a technology park in Mangaluru.
The proposed tech park will be developed on 3.285 acres of land along Blueberry Hills Road.
The project will follow a Design, Build, Finance, Operate, and Transfer (DBFOT) model under a public-private partnership.
The initiative aims to boost Mangaluru's IT ecosystem, attract companies, and create job opportunities.
This is part of Karnataka's plan to expand IT growth beyond Bengaluru to other cities like Mysuru, Huballi-Dharwad, and Belagavi.
