Telangana Heavily Uses RBI Liquidity Support
The Telangana government had to borrow a lot of money in November 2025 to pay for its expenses.
They used different ways to get this money, like special loans from the Reserve Bank of India.
They used the cheapest option, called SDF, for the whole month, and also used other more expensive loans for many days.
This shows that the government is having a hard time managing its money.
Other states also had to borrow money, but Telangana and Andhra Pradesh were among the ones that needed the most help.
The government has also been borrowing a lot more money from the market this year compared to previous years, which shows they are under a lot of financial pressure.
Telangana used RBI's SDF for all 30 days in November 2025, amounting to Rs 5,143.64 crore.
The state also drew WMA for 24 days, totaling Rs 1,710.49 crore.
Telangana resorted to overdrafts for 9 days, using Rs 1,144.07 crore.
Only four major states and one smaller state used SDF for all 30 days in November 2025.
Telangana's market borrowings in 2025-26 have already exceeded previous years' totals.
