Farmer Adopts Hydroponics for Higher Yields
A farmer named Dheeraj Verma saw a TV show about hydroponic farming in Israel.
He was inspired to try this method in his village in India.
Hydroponics is a way to grow plants without soil, using water and nutrients.
Dheeraj built a hydroponic setup and grew strawberries.
He got five times more strawberries in a smaller space compared to traditional farming.
He made a profit of Rs 3 lakh in just two months.
He also learned to make a special fungicide to protect his plants.
Dheeraj advises other farmers to try hydroponics too.
Dheeraj Verma, a farmer from Barabanki, adopted hydroponic farming inspired by a TV show on Israeli agriculture.
He built a 3,500 sq ft hydroponic setup and grew 9,000 strawberry saplings using coco peat and nutrient-rich water.
Within two months, he harvested 5 tonnes of strawberries and earned Rs 3 lakh in revenue.
Hydroponics reduced his water usage and chemical inputs compared to traditional farming.
Dheeraj advises other farmers to explore hydroponics, stating it is profitable and not difficult to learn.
