Mayuresh Gujar, who helped collect donations, says Anant Ambani offered to help pay for the treatment.

Gujar says this happened near a festival venue in Mumbai on 21 September.

The campaign had collected more than ₹2.21 crore, according to Gujar.

But the offer had not yet been confirmed, so the team was still waiting to hear from Ambani’s representatives.

Doctors had reportedly advised that Vedansh receive treatment before turning two.

The family and campaigners say timely treatment is important.
