Telangana University to Distribute Quality Seeds to Farmers
The Telangana government is giving away good seeds to farmers.
The goal is to help them grow better crops and save money.
The seeds will be distributed by the agricultural university and government officials, starting on State Formation Day.
About 40,000 farmers will get the seeds, which will help them grow rice, beans, and other crops.
This program hopes to make the state self-sufficient in seeds and lower the costs that farmers have to pay.
If the farmers use the seeds and share the resulting harvest with others, this goal can be reached in a few years.
Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University and the Department of Agriculture are launching a seed distribution program.
The program coincides with State Formation Day, with distribution starting on June 2nd.
Seed kits will be given to about 40,000 progressive farmers across 11,000 villages.
The university has prepared around 10,250 quintals of quality seeds for distribution.
The initiative aims to achieve seed self-sufficiency and reduce high seed costs for farmers.
