Himachal Pradesh distributes Rs 5.78 crore welfare aid to workers

Himachal Pradesh gave about Rs 5.78 crore to construction workers and their families.

A total of 1,471 people received help.

Much of the money will support workers’ children with higher or technical education.

Other families received help for marriage, housing, and emergencies.

Some support was also given for maternity, paternity, girl children, and dependents with disabilities.

The money was sent directly to bank accounts.

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said this was meant to help benefits arrive transparently and on time.

The assistance was released through the state’s construction workers welfare board.
