BMC Declares Malboro House RTI Plans Null and Void
The Bandra Municipal Corporation (BMC) said that the building plans it received through a Right to Information (RTI) request for a place called Malboro House were not real.
The BMC could not find these plans in its records, and the only plans it has are from 1967.
People from Malboro House said the plans were fake.
The BMC sent a note to another department to check the complaint.
After checking, the BMC confirmed the plans were not valid and called them null and void.
This means the plans cannot be used for building or legal purposes.
The decision was made on July 13, 2025.
The RTI request was made on September 29, 2025.
The last official plan the BMC has is from 1967.
The BMC said the plans were forged and could not be trusted.
BMC’s Assistant Engineer declared the RTI‑submitted plans for Malboro House null and void.
The plans were not found in BMC records; the last approved plan dates to 1967.
Malboro House CHS Ltd. members alleged the RTI‑issued plans were forged.
BMC forwarded a note to EE (BP) City‑1 to verify the complaint.
After review, BMC confirmed the RTI plans could not be authenticated.
