Shadowfax Files DRHP for INR 2,000 Cr IPO, Details Shareholding and Executives
Shadowfax, a delivery company backed by Flipkart, is getting ready to sell shares to the public for the first time.
They filed paperwork with the government last week to raise about 2,000 crore rupees.
This money will come from selling new shares and also from some early investors selling some of their existing shares.
Flipkart is the biggest single owner among the big investment companies, but the two founders of Shadowfax together own the largest chunk of the company.
Shadowfax helps many online stores deliver packages to people's homes, and they have grown a lot.
They recently started making a profit after losing money for a while.
They offer fast delivery services, which is becoming a big part of their business.
However, they face challenges from other delivery companies, rules about their workers, and rely heavily on a few big customers.
Shadowfax has filed its updated DRHP with SEBI for a INR 2,000 Cr public issue.
The IPO will consist of an equal split between fresh issue and an offer-for-sale (OFS) component.
Flipkart Internet Private Limited is the largest institutional shareholder with 14.84% equity.
Co-founders Abhishek Bansal and Vaibhav Khandelwal cumulatively hold 19.13% equity and will not sell shares in the IPO.
The company reported a profit of INR 6 Cr in FY25 against a loss of INR 12 Cr in FY24, with significant revenue growth.
