Phone Tapping Probe: SIT Serves Notice to BRS MLC's PA
The Special Investigation Team (SIT) is looking into a phone-tapping case from when the BRS party was in charge.
They've asked K. Kavitha's personal assistant, Rajesh, to talk to them because they think his phone was tapped.
They found phone records related to Rajesh on the phone of someone else involved in the case, G. Praneeth Rao.
The SIT believes that the spying happened while K. Chandrashekar Rao was Chief Minister and K.T. Rama Rao was a minister.
Now, the SIT may contact other BRS leaders too, suspecting their phones were also tapped.
SIT served notice to BRS MLC K. Kavitha's PA, Rajesh, to record his statement.
The notice relates to the phone-tapping case during the BRS government's tenure.
Rajesh's mobile number was allegedly snooped on while BRS was in power.
Call data records from the phone of G. Praneeth Rao were linked to Rajesh.
SIT is likely to serve notices to other BRS leaders and former public representatives.
