Project Sarathi Volunteer Program Expands Across India
Imagine a program called Project Sarathi where students help people in hospitals.
It started at a medical institute and now helps in many hospitals across the country.
These students assist patients by showing them where to go, managing information desks, and helping with paperwork.
The program aims to make hospitals easier to navigate, reducing confusion and wait times.
Students volunteer their time, gaining experience while helping others.
It’s like having friendly guides in the hospital.
The project started small but quickly became a nationwide movement, with many students volunteering.
The program has improved patient satisfaction and made hospitals more efficient.
Overall, it's a way to support patients and involve young people in community service.
Project Sarathi, a hospital navigation initiative, is replicated nationwide.
1,467 hospitals across 34 states and UTs are approved for the Seva Se Seekhen volunteer program.
6,444 student volunteers are actively involved in the initiative.
The ELP has been completed in 551 hospitals, and underway in 95 others.
The program aims to improve patient experience and provide social responsibility to students.
