India-Canada to restart trade talks with broader scope
India and Canada are going to start talking about a big trade deal again.
This time, they want to make it even bigger than before, including things like goods, services, and investments.
They stopped talking about a smaller trade deal two years ago because of some problems.
But now, with a new leader in Canada, they want to start fresh and make trade between them grow a lot by 2030.
They also want to work together on important things like clean energy and special minerals.
India is sending more stuff to Canada, and Canada is sending a bit less stuff to India.
The leaders of both countries might make some big announcements about this deal when they meet in early 2026.
