Ather Energy Rolls Out Pothole+ OTA Update
Ather Energy, a company that makes electric scooters, is sending a software update to its newer scooters.
The update adds a new feature called Pothole+ that tells riders when they might hit a pothole.
It works by using data from many scooters that have already ridden on the roads.
The company doesn’t add new hardware; it just changes the software.
The update is being sent out gradually, so not every scooter owner will get it at the same time.
Ather Energy is releasing a Pothole+ feature via OTA update.
The feature works on Gen 2 and newer scooters, including Rizta, 450X, and 450 Apex.
It uses anonymised ride data to identify pothole‑heavy road sections.
No new hardware is required; the update is purely software.
Rollout has started but will be staggered across eligible scooters.
