Andhra Pradesh Launches Swayam Model for SHG Women

The Andhra Pradesh government is launching a new initiative called the Swayam Model to help women in Self-Help Groups (SHGs) become entrepreneurs.

This project will set up centers where these women can process, package, and market their products.

The goal is to give them a steady income and better prices for their goods.

The plan is to start this in three districts first and then expand it across the state.

Officials think this will help women earn more money, create jobs in rural areas, and support local farming.

The idea was discussed in a meeting with government officials and representatives from By Desi, who are helping with the project.
