India Imposes Import Curbs on Platinum Jewellery
India is now requiring special permission to import certain types of platinum jewellery.
This is to stop people from using free trade deals to avoid paying taxes on these imports.
They did the same thing for silver jewellery a few months ago.
This is all happening because India has a free trade agreement with a group of countries called ASEAN, which includes Thailand.
