India's Economic Growth Surges Amid Global Investments
India is experiencing a lot of growth and development.
The Chief Minister of Rajasthan is happy because a big meeting called the Rising Rajasthan Global Investors Summit 2024 helped the state sign agreements worth a lot of money, especially for tourism.
The government is making new rules to help investors and is working on many projects that will create jobs for young people.
Rajasthan has many beautiful places like forts, palaces, and deserts that attract many tourists.
The government is also planning to fix up old houses and create a special fund to make tourism even better.
Union Minister Piyush Goyal talked about how India's economy has been growing a lot.
He said that the government has been focusing on helping people, making sure everyone has basic needs like food and clean water, and using technology to make things better.
He also talked about how the government is spending a lot of money on roads, buildings, and other infrastructure to create jobs and make the economy stronger.
Another minister, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, said that India's tourism industry is going to grow by more than 20% every year.
He said that the government is making it easier for people to travel by exempting income tax up to ₹12 lakh.
The Indian economy grew by 8.2% in the second quarter of the fiscal year 2025-26, which is the highest growth in six quarters.
This growth is due to a boost in manufacturing and other sectors.
The government is also planning to make India a developed country by 2047, and they need to keep growing at a rate of around 8% to achieve this goal.
Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma expressed satisfaction over the boost in development and investment post Rising Rajasthan Global Investors Summit 2024.
The summit led to the signing of MoUs worth Rs 35 lakh crore, with 702 MoUs worth Rs 1,44,625 crore specifically for the tourism sector.
277 tourism projects worth Rs 10,000 crore have reached the ground-breaking stage, with the rest in various stages of implementation.
Union Minister Piyush Goyal highlighted three pillars of India's economic growth: public welfare, digital empowerment, and infrastructure investment.
India's GDP grew at a six-quarter high of 8.2% in Q2 FY26, driven by robust manufacturing and other sectors.
