Three Arrested in Vasai Chemical Currency Fraud Case

Police in the Vasai area say three people ran a money-trick scam.

The suspects allegedly told people that blank papers or treated notes could become real money.

They promised to give victims three times the money they handed over.

Police say the group showed Rs 500 notes covered with a black chemical.

The notes were allegedly washed to make them look genuine.

Officers raided a hotel in Kajupada after receiving confidential information.

Three people, including two women, were arrested.

Police seized notes, chemicals and other materials.

The case is being investigated under India’s Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
