Fake Degree Case: Delhi Staff, Lawyer Arrested
A man named J Vasanthan wanted to become a lawyer but had a degree from a school that wasn't recognized.
He paid a lot of money to a lawyer and a staff member of the Bar Council of Delhi to help him get enrolled.
They allegedly used fake documents.
Later, it was found out that his degree was fake, and his license was taken away.
The staff member and the lawyer were arrested, and the staff member got temporary protection from arrest while the police investigate further.
This case shows there might be a bigger problem with fake degrees in the system.
J Vasanthan allegedly paid Rs 1.5 lakh to Arvind Panchal and Jagdish Yadav to enroll in the Bar Council of Delhi using a fake degree.
Vasanthan's enrollment was suspended after the Bar Council of India found his degree and marksheets to be forged.
An FIR was registered against Yadav and Panchal for allegedly facilitating Vasanthan's enrollment with fake documents.
Yadav sought anticipatory bail and was granted interim relief until December 23.
The Bar Council of India suspects a deeper systematic breach in the enrollment process due to this case.
