Japanese Institutions Back India Growth, Flag Short-Term Investment Risks

Japanese financial groups said they believe India can grow strongly over many years.

They also said changing currency values and some government rules may affect investments in the near future.

India’s Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal listened to their concerns.

He said India wants to make investing easier.

He also said India wants long-term partnerships, not just money.

These partnerships could bring technology, factories, jobs and connections to global supply chains.

India and Japan want Japanese companies to invest 10 trillion yen in India over the next ten years.

The meeting took place during Goyal’s visit to Japan.
