Vodafone Idea Shares Rise After Relief

Vodafone Idea's shares went up by 4% on January 1, 2026, after the government and Vodafone Group gave them some financial help.

The government froze ₹87,695 crore in debts that Vodafone Idea has to pay, and they can pay this over 10 years starting from 2032.

Vodafone Group also agreed to give Vodafone Idea ₹5,836 crore, with ₹2,307 crore coming in the next year.

This helps Vodafone Idea because they have a lot of debts and need money to keep running.

The company has many employees and customers, so this help is important for them.

The government is also looking at the debts again to make sure they are fair.

The Supreme Court had already said the government could do this, which was a big help for Vodafone Idea.

However, the market wanted a bigger reduction in the debts, which would have made the company's future look even better.
