NTA Delays UGC NET Answer Key, MPs Call for Transparency
The National Testing Agency (NTA) is in charge of giving out answer keys for a big exam called UGC NET, which helps people become assistant professors.
The exam finished on June 30, and a few students had to retake it on July 5.
Normally, the NTA gives the answer keys in about 10 to 15 days, but they have taken longer this time.
A Member of Parliament named V. Sivadasan wrote to the education minister asking the NTA to release the keys quickly.
A student group, the Students’ Federation of India, said the delay shows the NTA is not doing its job well and is ignoring students’ worries.
Because many students rely on the answer keys to know if they passed, the delay has caused a lot of worry and calls for more transparency.
National Testing Agency delayed UGC NET June 2026 answer key release.
MP V. Sivadasan wrote to Education Minister Prahlad Joshi demanding prompt release.
Students’ Federation of India criticized NTA as incompetent and dismissive of student concerns.
The exam concluded June 30, with a re‑exam on July 5; NTA usually takes 10‑15 days to publish keys.
The delay has raised transparency concerns among candidates and student bodies.
