Ganesh Mandals to Promote Maharashtra Public Services Awareness

Ganesh Mandals to Promote Maharashtra Public Services Awareness

Maharashtra wants Ganesh mandals to teach people about their rights to government services.

The campaign will take place during Ganeshotsav.

The Right to Public Services Act says many government services should be delivered transparently and on time.

The state has listed 1,212 services under the law.

These include certificates for caste, income, residence, births and deaths.

People can apply through the Aaple Sarkar portal or service centers.

If a service is delayed or unfairly rejected, people can appeal.

Officials who cause unnecessary delays may have to pay up to Rs 5,000.
