Subansiri Lower Hydroelectric Project Unit-2 Inaugurated
The Subansiri Lower Hydroelectric Project is a big dam in Arunachal Pradesh that makes clean energy.
On Tuesday, the second part of the dam (Unit-2) started working.
The dam is very big and can make a lot of electricity every year.

Many important people were there to celebrate this big achievement.
The dam also helps control floods and manage water in the area.
Soon, more parts of the dam will start working, making even more clean energy for India.
The project also supports local communities by creating jobs and improving infrastructure.
Unit 2 (250 MW) of the 2000 MW Subansiri Lower Hydroelectric Project was inaugurated commercially.
The project symbolizes India’s commitment to clean and sustainable energy, supporting North-East India’s growth and Net Zero goals.
The dam is the largest in North-East India, featuring an 116-metre-high concrete gravity dam.
