Spiti Cup 2026 Expands with More Matches
The Spiti Cup is a big winter sports event happening in the Himalayas from February 7 to 11, 2026.
This year, there will be more games, with 22 matches in total.
Teams from different areas, including new ones from Lahaul, Shimla, and Kinnaur Valley, will compete in Ice hockey for men, women, and young boys.
There will also be Speed Skating competitions.
The event is organized by local groups and aims to bring people together, teach them new skills, and find talented players.
It's a fun way to enjoy sports in a cold and challenging environment.
The Spiti Cup 2026 will take place from February 7 to 11, 2026, with 22 matches across Senior Men, Women, and U-18 Boys categories.
Teams from five zones in Spiti and neighboring regions, including new participants from Lahaul, Shimla, and Kinnaur Valley, will compete.
The tournament is organized by the Ice Hockey Association of Lahaul and Spiti (IHALS), supported by Royal Enfield Social Mission and the Spiti Administration.
Over 500 children and youth participate in structured Ice hockey training leading up to the tournament.
Speed Skating competitions will also be featured, with participants from Cheog in Shimla District.
