Delhi High Court Stays Defamation Case Against Sudarshan TV

Delhi High Court Stays Defamation Case Against Sudarshan TV

A madrasa operator complained that a television channel made damaging claims about his organisation.

He said the channel accused it of anti-national activities, illegal funding and brainwashing children.

He also said people came to his home, called him a Bangladeshi and shared his phone number.

According to him, this led to death threats.

He filed a criminal defamation case against several people, including Sudarshan TV and Suresh Chavhanke.

A lower court said the broadcasts and social media posts appeared defamatory at an early stage.

The Delhi High Court has now paused the case for the time being.

The court will consider the matter again at a later hearing.
