Vijayawada, Vizag Metro Rail Projects to be Ready in Three Years
The Andhra Pradesh government plans to finish metro rail projects in Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada in three years.
They have signed agreements with companies to design and oversee the work.
These projects are part of a plan from 2014.
The state and central governments are each paying a part of the costs.
The rest of the money will come from a long-term loan from other countries.
Metro rail projects in Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada will be completed in three years.
MoUs were signed between AP Metro Rail Corporation and consultancies for project design and supervision.
The projects are undertaken as per the 2014 AP Reorganisation Act.
The state and central governments will contribute 20% each of the project costs.
The remaining funds will come from a soft loan from international organizations.
