Bombay Gymkhana Squash Finals Set After Junior Semifinals
A junior squash tournament was held at Bombay Gymkhana in Mumbai.
Divyanshi Jain won one reported girls’ semifinal.
Aashi Shah won the other reported girls’ semifinal.
The headline says they will play each other in the Girls’ U-13 final.
However, another part of the article calls their matches Girls’ U-15 semifinals.
That same results section names Riyaa Dala and Akshara Makhija as the Girls’ U-13 semifinal winners.
The article also gives results for boys’ matches in two age groups.
Because of these differences, the exact age group and final lineup are unclear from the report.
Divyanshi Jain reportedly defeated Shananya Parasrampuria 14-12, 11-4, 11-6 in a girls’ semifinal.
Aashi Shah reportedly beat Shanaya Roy 11-5, 11-3, 9-11, 11-8, 11-5 in the other semifinal.
The article’s headline says Jain and Shah will meet in the Girls’ U-13 final.
A results section instead labels those same matches as Girls’ U-15 semifinals and lists Riyaa Dala and Akshara Makhija in the Girls’ U-13 semifinals.
Boys’ U-13 and U-15 semifinal results were also reported from the Maharashtra State Open tournament.
