New Constables Urged to Put Public Safety First
Two groups of newly trained police constables completed their training in Nellore and Ongole.
Ministers told them that keeping people safe should be their main job.
They were also asked to be honest, disciplined and respectful.
One group had 176 constables, while the Ongole group had 190.
The Ongole recruits trained for nine months.
Their lessons included law, fitness, driving, swimming and handling weapons.
They also learned about cybercrime, digital evidence, forensic science and police technology.
Officials said police should treat women, children and poorer people with dignity.
Outstanding trainees received medals and mementoes.
Ministers Anam Ramanarayana Reddy and Gottipati Ravi Kumar urged new constables to prioritise public safety, discipline and integrity.
A total of 176 constables participated in a passing-out parade at the District Police Training Centre in Chemudugunta, Nellore.
At the Ongole training centre, 190 Stipendiary Civil Police Constables completed nine months of training.
Ongole trainees studied criminal law, cybercrime, forensic science, artificial intelligence, traffic management and weapons handling.
Officials told recruits to treat citizens respectfully, victims empathetically and enforce the law impartially.
