Prof. J. Philip Honored by Pope
Prof. J. Philip, who started the Xavier Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship (XIME), was given a special award by the Pope.
This award is called 'Commander of the Order of Saint Gregory the Great.'
Prof. Philip said he got this award because of his hard work and dedication to serving others, not just for his own achievements.
He started XIME in memory of his daughter and has helped many students get a good education.
He also started a school called XIME International School (XIS) to help young children learn in a good way.
Many important people praised him for his good work.
Prof. J. Philip, founder of XIME, was honored by Pope Leo XIV with the title of 'Commander of the Order of Saint Gregory the Great.'
Prof. Philip attributed the honor to his service to the community and his faith, rather than personal merit.
He founded XIME in 1991 in memory of his late daughter, Maria Teresa Philip, and it has since grown to include campuses in Bangalore, Kochi, and Chennai.
XIME is one of India's top business schools and was the first to receive EFMD accreditation for 5 years.
